Payment

SPK will pay your pension on the 25th of each month to the account you have registered. If the 25th falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the pension will be paid on the weekday before.

Normally, SPK makes a tax deduction of 30 percent on pensions paid. The tax deduction differs depending on when you retire and whether or not the SPK pension is your main income.

Tax

If you live abroad, you must request a special tax decision (SINK) from the Swedish Tax Agency and send the decision to SPK. It is important that SPK is listed as the payer on the document you receive from the Tax Agency. You can email or post the document from the Tax Agency to SPK.

SPK is obliged to communicate the TIN number – Tax Identification Number – in the statement of earnings and deductions submitted to the Tax Agency for citizens residing in the EU/EEA. You can check the format of your TIN number on the EU Commission’s website>> before you provide it to SPK.
